Leprechauns Feast on Power Plays, Dominate Wolfpack 5-1

The Leprechauns turned a tight first period into a second-period onslaught, burying the Edm Wolfpack with two quick power-play goals and cruising to a commanding 5-1 victory. Period one was a goaltending duel, with both teams trading heavy pressure but finding no twine despite a combined 54 shots on net. The Wolfpack's Dustin Meisinger was spectacular early, turning away all 34 Leprechaun shots in the opening frame, while Ty Willard was equally sharp for the Leprechauns, stopping all 20 of Edm's chances.

The game exploded open in the second period when the Wolfpack's discipline unraveled. After a trip put the visitors shorthanded, Evan Zaichkowsky (#19) lit the lamp on the power play at 10:07, with Ben Tymchuk and Carson Wang providing the assists. Just 82 seconds later, the Leprechauns struck again with the man advantage, as Oliver McEwen (#27) made it 2-0 on a setup from Ethan Barich and Brady Semeniuk. The Wolfpack finally answered at 8:24 when Blake Unger (#98) scored an even-strength goal, but the damage was done and the momentum was firmly in green.

The Leprechauns put the game out of reach in the third period, adding three more unanswered goals. Ethan Barich (#14) started the parade at 12:41, followed by Liam Maynes (#89) at 8:16, with Zaichkowsky assisting on both. Will Tymchuk (#11) capped the scoring at 1:51, assisted by Josh Tymchuk. Ty Willard finished with a dominant performance, stopping 19 of 20 shots, including the final 19 in a row after Unger's goal, to secure the win. The Wolfpack will lament a costly second period, while the Leprechauns celebrate a clinical display of converting their chances.
