The Balls delivered a statement performance in their Adult League matchup against the Outcasts, exploding for a dominant 9-3 victory that was all but decided in a breathtaking first period. From the opening puck drop, The Balls came out flying, firing an astonishing 42 shots on net in the first frame alone while showcasing a relentless offensive attack that the Outcasts simply had no answer for. The tone was set early when Ryan Locke (23) opened the scoring at the 11:47 mark of the first period, and from there, the floodgates opened in what became a seven-goal period that left spectators breathless.
The first period was a whirlwind of offense, with Locke completing a natural hat trick by adding goals at 6:09 and 5:40, showing incredible chemistry with linemates Doug Jones (27) and Zach Levesque (57). Chris Rose (91) and Doug Jones also got in on the act, while the Outcasts managed to answer twice through Jason Asprey (6) and Aman Ali (10), but they were fighting an uphill battle from the start. The period also saw some early tensions boil over at the 4:11 mark when Riley Calci (2) and Aman Ali were sent off simultaneously for holding and interference respectively, creating a brief four-on-four situation that did little to slow The Balls' momentum.
The second period saw JD Booth (15) take center stage, scoring twice to extend The Balls' lead further. His first came at 10:14, followed by another at 5:20, both set up beautifully by the relentless forechecking of his teammates. The Outcasts' Brad Jones (18) and The Balls' Riley Calci found themselves in the penalty box together for roughing at 2:33 of the second, but even shorthanded play couldn't derail The Balls' attack. Goaltender Dave Olson (1) stood tall between the pipes, turning aside all 30 shots he faced through three periods to preserve the win, while his counterpart on the Outcasts, Dave Robert (29), faced a staggering 42 shots in a night he'd rather forget. The third period provided little relief, as Cameron Dumais (71) and Brandon Hamlyn (82) added insurance goals, with Austin Ali (15) providing the lone bright spot for the Outcasts with a late tally at 1:28 of the final frame.
