Edm Reapers Blitz Past Tigerbombs in Dominant 7-1 Showcase

The Edm Reapers unleashed an offensive onslaught at home against the Tigerbombs, skating to a decisive 7-1 victory in a game that was never truly in doubt. From the opening faceoff, the Reapers controlled the pace, peppering the Tigerbombs’ net with an astonishing 44 shots while limiting their opponents to just 18. While the official stat sheet showed zero saves for either netminder, the final scoreline tells the story of a game where the Reapers’ attack was simply unstoppable, and the Tigerbombs’ defense was under relentless siege.

The game’s early moments saw the Tigerbombs strike first, catching the Reapers off guard when Jordan Buchanan (#96) found the back of the net with assists from Jasper Yeo (#22) and Ryan Oliver (#8) at the 9:32 mark of the first period. However, the lead was short-lived. Just over five minutes later, the Reapers’ Anthony Gagner (#44) evened the score, and then Tyson Gauthier (#25) sent the home crowd into a frenzy with a go-ahead goal at 1:39, assisted by Sheldon Ouellet (#21) and Eric Cloutier (#7). The Reapers carried that momentum into the second period, where they truly broke the game open. Henry Zeng (#26) scored early, and then Gauthier took over, ripping off two more goals in a 27-second span to complete his hat trick and put the game firmly out of reach. Ouellet added another dagger before the period ended, making it 6-1.

The third period saw the Reapers continue their dominance, with Cloutier capping a spectacular performance by scoring a power-play goal at 11:38, with assists from Ouellet and Gauthier.
