Farm Team Dominate with Hat Trick Heroics in One-Sided Affair

The Farm Team absolutely dominated the Shooters in a lopsided 5-2 victory, fueled by a brilliant hat trick performance from Pat Soucy (#19). From the opening puck drop, it was clear that The Farm Team meant business, peppering the Shooters' net with an astonishing 39 shots in the first period alone. The home squad came out flying, scoring twice in the first three minutes of the game to set the tone. Malachi Plett (#12) opened the scoring at 11:03, burying a feed from Stuart McIntyre (#6) and Kyle Potvin (#8), before Soucy netted his first of the night just 48 seconds later, with Ryan Hrycun (#27) picking up the assist. The Shooters briefly answered back when Hugh Anderson (#17) found the back of the net at 8:07, but The Farm Team quickly regained control. Travis Lafleur (#34) restored the two-goal lead at 2:24 of the first, again with Soucy and Hrycun providing the support.

The second period saw more of the same relentless pressure from The Farm Team, despite the officials calling a tripping penalty on Lafleur early in the frame. The penalty kill was sharp, and the momentum never shifted. Instead, Soucy struck again at 12:46, completing a beautiful passing play with Corey Kramps (#25) and Hrycun to make it 4-1. The Shooters managed to cut the deficit on an even-strength goal from Anthony Prakash (#94) at 1:19, but the comeback hopes were short-lived. As the third period unfolded, The Farm Team put the game completely out of reach. A high-sticking minor to Landon Frederick (#7) did little to slow them down, and Soucy completed his hat trick at 12:53, once again set up by Hrycun, who finished the night with four assists in a masterful playmaking display.

In net, Dylan Lynch (#30) had a quiet but effective night, facing 22 shots and allowing just two goals, while his counterpart, Liam Carroll (#29), was under siege from start to finish. Carroll endured a 39-shot barrage and was left with little chance on most of the five goals that got past him. The Farm Team's relentless offensive pressure was the story of the game, with every line contributing and the defense limiting the Shooters to mostly perimeter chances. It was a statement win for The Farm Team, who showcased their depth and firepower in front of a delighted home crowd.
