BHE1 Mens 2022 Spring/Summer Midseason Update:

An update from BHE1, as we embark on the second half of the Spring/Summer 2022 regular season. Please read this email in its entirety and if any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to email back or reach out via phone/text.

In this email, we will go over a several topics which include Division Realignment/Re-Tier, Regular Season 2^nd half schedule, Playoff Formats, Playoff Overtime Rules, Game Sheets, Uniforms, Roster Freeze.

Re-Tiering

Cobras & Walruses moving up from Division 2 to 1/2 *

Bar South moving down from Division 2 to 3/4 *

Killer Bees, Knowlton Gnashers & Liberty Tax Lions moving down from 3 to 3/4 *

Raging Bulls, The Edge & Sharks moving up from Division 4/5/6 to Division 3/4 *

Gwops & Afterburners  moving up from 7/8 to 5/6

Drunken’ Monkeys & Crown Royals moving down from 5/6 to 7.8

Mutts & Regulators moving down from 7/8 to 9/10

NetsticksNChill moving up from 11/12 to 9/10

Draught Picks & Horsemen moving down from 9/10 to 11/12

Hudson Northstars, Mad Dogs & Kraken moving up from 13/14 to 11/12

Flamingos moving down from 11/12 to 13/14

There is potential for 1-2 other re-tiering moves, within the next 7-10 days, but will try to give everyone as much notice as possible.

**For the teams moving in Divisions 1,2,3,4 your games played previously against teams in the new division alignment will count towards your current %, the others will not.

2^nd Half Schedule

The 2^nd half schedule, games 9-16 for teams, will be emailed out to teams on or before Sunday, May 29^th. We cannot upload it to the website until the first half of the schedule is complete or it will mess with the Divisions.

Teams moving up or down, their record essentially resets and we take only their winning percentage from within their new Division for playoff positioning. 

Playoff Format & Rules

Players must have played 6 games to be playoff eligible, goaltenders need one game played to be eligible. There are absolute zero affiliate players or emergency goalies permitted in playoffs.

Division 1/2 - 5 Teams

Quarter Final Best of 3 (4v5), Semi Finals Best of 3s, (2v3) and (1v4/5 winner). Semi fnal winners will play in best of 5 playoffs.

Division 3/4 - 7 Teams

Division 3 Playoffs - Seeds 1,2,3 from Div3/4 - Semi Finals Best of 3, (2v3) - Winner will Play 1^st Seed in Best of 5 Final

Division 4 Playoffs - Seeds 4,5,6,7 from Div3/4 - Semi Finals Best of 3, (4v7 & 5v6) - Winners will Play in Best of 3 Finals. 

Division 5/6 - 9 Teams

Division 5 Playoffs - Seeds 1,2,3,4 from Div5/6- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (1v4,2v3), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

Division 6 Playoffs - Seeds 5,6,7,8 from Div5/6- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (5v8,6v7), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

9^th Place does not qualify for playoffs.

Division 7/8 - 9 Teams

Division 7 Playoffs - Seeds 1,2,3,4 from Div7/8 - Semi Finals Best of 3s, (1v4,2v3), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

Division 8 Playoffs - Seeds 5,6,7,8 from Div7/8- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (5v8,6v7), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

9^th Place does not qualify for playoffs.

Division 9/10 - 11 Teams

Division 9 Playoffs - Seeds 1,2,3,4 from Div9/10 - Semi Finals Best of 3s, (1v4,2v3), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

Division 10 Playoffs - Seeds 5,6,7,8 from Div9/10- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (5v8,6v7), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

9^th, 10^th, 11th Place does not qualify for playoffs.

Division 11/12 - 11 Teams

Division 11 Playoffs - Seeds 1,2,3,4 from Div11/12 - Semi Finals Best of 3s, (1v4,2v3), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

Division 12 Playoffs - Seeds 5,6,7,8 from Div11/12- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (5v8,6v7), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

9^th, 10^th, 11th Place does not qualify for playoffs.

Division 13/14 - 8 Teams

Division 13 Playoffs - Seeds 1,2,3,4 from Div5/6- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (1v4,2v3), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

Division 14 Playoffs - Seeds 5,6,7,8 from Div5/6- Semi Finals Best of 3s, (5v8,6v7), Winners will Play in Best of 3 Final

Playoff Overtime Format

10 minutes of 5on5 Overtime. 5 Minutes of 4on4 Overtime. Continuous 3on3 Overtime. Clock will only be used if there is a penalty in continuous 3on3 overtime. There is no switching ends in overtime, which is why it’s imperative that teams switch to the start of the game.

Uniforms, Switching Ends & Roster Freeze

We are now over half way through the season. Every runner on the floor (goalies excluded), need to have a matching base colored jersey for their team. If one player needs pinnies, the entire team needs to wear pinnies.

If there is a conflict where both teams have for example black jerseys, the home team is required to wear pinnies during the regular season. In playoffs, the visitor is required to wear the pinnies.

Switching ends prior to every game is mandatory. This is to ensure, whether its playoffs or regular season, teams are defending their bench end for shootouts and/or overtime.

The roster freeze deadline has come and gone, there are no more roster additions or deletions of any kind. The rosters are set for the remainder of the season.
